The College of Science and Society (CSS) is home to undergraduate and graduate programs spanning the arts and humanities, natural sciences and mathematics, social and behavioral sciences, and modern languages – plus the English Language Institute.
Mission statement
The mission of the College of Science and Society is to provide students with education of high quality in the knowledge, skills, and values that will enable them to achieve success in their professions and become meaningful contributors to society. The College is committed to an interdisciplinary approach in its curricula while offering students opportunities for experiential learning, internships, and community service.

The Division of Arts and Humanities prepares students for careers that require analytical and creative thinking, strong writing, communication, performance, and presentation skills.

The Division of Modern Languages supports minors (18 credits each) that allow students to supplement their education and increase cultural awareness. The English Language Institute offers an intensive program of English as a Second Language.
